چکیده
Abstract Background This study aimed to evaluate the predictive potential of contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CT)-based imaging biomarkers (IBMs) for treatment outcomes patients with oesophageal squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) after definitive concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT). Methods Altogether, 154 OSCC who underwent CCRT were included in this retrospective study. All randomised training cohort (n = 99) or validation 55). Pre-treatment CT scans obtained all and used extraction IBMs. An IBM score, was constructed by using least absolute shrinkage selection operator Cox regression analysis, which equal log-partial hazard model tested cohort. nomograms built based on scores individualised survival estimation. Finally, a decision curve analysis performed estimate clinical usefulness nomograms. Results 96 IBMs extracted from each scan. 11 CT-based overall (OS) 8 progression-free (PFS), LASSO-Cox method Multivariate revealed that score an independent prognostic factor correlated OS PFS. In cohort, C-indices 0.734 (95% CI 0.664–0.804) 0.658 0.587–0.729) PFS, respectively. 0.672 0.578–0.766) 0.666 0.574–0.758) Kaplan–Meier showed significant difference between risk subgroups cohorts. Decision confirmed score. Conclusions The pre-treatment could predict PFS CCRT. Further multicentre studies larger sample sizes are warranted.

Optimal timing of computed tomography for assessing lymph nodes after neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy for rectal cancer
Background: This study assessed the optimal timing of computed tomography for detection of metastatic disease in locoregional lymph nodes in patients with rectal cancer who have undergone chemoradiotherapy. Materials and Methods: This observational retrospective study was performed in a single institution. All patients with locally advanced rectal cancer treated with chemoradiotherapy, followed...

OBJECTIVE To evaluate the usefulness of intravenous contrast administration in cranial computed tomography (CT) in a general hospital with a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) facility, and to establish a protocol to determine which patients would benefit most from using contrast-enhanced cranial CT. SUBJECTS AND METHODS Five hundred and forty-seven patients who underwent routine nonenhanced CT...
متن کاملDefinitive concurrent chemoradiotherapy in locally advanced pancreatic cancer
PURPOSE Survival outcome of locally advanced pancreatic cancer has been poor and little is known about prognostic factors of the disease, especially in locally advanced cases treated with concurrent chemoradiation. This study was to analyze overall survival and prognostic factors of patients treated with concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT) in locally advanced pancreatic cancer. MATERIALS AND ...
متن کاملComparison between perfusion computed tomography and dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging in rectal cancer.
PURPOSE To compare pretreatment scans with perfusion computed tomography (pCT) vs. dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI) in rectal tumors. METHODS AND MATERIALS Nineteen patients diagnosed with rectal cancer were included in this prospective study. All patients underwent both pCT and DCE-MRI. Imaging was performed on a dedicated 40-slice CT-positron emission tomograph...
